Skies are fun and recreation. The mountains mesmerize not only hiking and bike fans but also skiers in the winter time. The Tatras and Podhale are wonderful winter land that attracts many winter sport lovers every year. Everyone, disregarding their age and skiing abilities, will find something for themselves. The most popular activity in the winter time is skiing. There are plenty of ski lifts and ski resorts (of various difficulty levels) in the vicinity of Redyk hotel.

There are 3 draf lifts in the vicinity of hotel Redyk Ski&Relax***, perfect for beginners and intermediate skiers. The nearby slopes have snow-making systems, night light and are prepared by snow ratraks. The ski rent, service and ski school are also located by the slopes. And the most important thing is the vicinity of the slopes. You just leave the hotel and get on the slope! No need to take the car. The ski slope that is really worth recommendation is the recently open SkiSuche, only 2 km from Redyk hotel. It offers 3 tracks of 950 m and modern 4 people chair lift. The avarege inclination is around 20 % and the altitude difference is of 130 m.

Another ski resort located close to Redyk hotel (about 4 km from us) is Harenda Ski Resort. This slope is quite demanding and has a few tracks. In the summer downhill-cyclilng tracks can be found there. Harenda ski resort consists of 4 people chair lift and drag lifts. The slope length is of 1000 m. The ski resort has official FIS certification.

A very popular and well known ski slope is on the Polana Szymoszkowa (chair lifts). The upper station is located only 6 km from Redyk hotel. It offers two cableways. The big one (6 person) goes up to the top of Gubałówka and is recommended for advance skiers or tourists who want to see the panorama view from the top.

The other lift that runs up to the middle of the slope will attract the beginners. The tracks are 1300 m and 360 m long. Małe Ciche ski resort is located 12 km from Redyk hotel. It offers a modern 4 people chair lift 1250 m long and two drag lifts. This slope is medium difficult.

Next plece on the ski map is Ski Station Witów-Ski with its 4 people chair lift and the 1000 m long slope. It’s located 20 km from Redyk hotel.

Ski resorts in Jurgów or Czarna Góra are also worth visiting. It offers well prepared tracks, outstanding panorama and well organized winter facilities. It’s also very close to Slavakian border and about 20 km far from Redyk hotel.

Kotelnica Białczańska being the biggest ski resort in Podhale shouldn’t be omitted. It offers many different tracks with different difficulty levels, 6 person chair lift with anti-snow cover, heated seats, and other cable lifts, drag lifts. The tracks were marked and prepared for all skiers and snowboarders disregarding their skills. The longest track has 1380 m. The distance from Redyk hotel to Kotelnica in Białka Tatrzańska is about 20 km.

The most well known ski station in Poland is Kaprowy Wierch. It’s the only alpine-like slope in Poland. The basic way to reach Kasprowy Wierch is by cable car. It starts in Kuźnice. From the top there are two ski tracks: Goryczkowa and Gąsienicaowa ( this was has FIS certification). Both tracks lead down to Kuźnice (by ski runs of Gąsienicowa and Goryczkowa). The chair lift in Gąsienicowa Valley is 1180 long and the altitude difference is 352 m. The track in Goryczkowa Valley toghether with the ski run to Kuźnice is 8 km long and the altitude difference is 950 m. You can ski on Kasprowy Wierch from December till May.

Cross-country skiing can be excercised here as well. We recommend well prepared tracks in: around COS (Central Sport Centre) in Zakopane, on Siwa Polana in Chochołowska Valley, on Chotarz or in Biathlon Centre in Kiry/ Kościelisko. Ski-tour trips are highly recommended to those who appreciate the mountains and the nature. There are numerous hiking and panorama view tracks that suite also for ski-touring. As soon as You learn how to walk on the skis with the uphill skins you can set off to the higher parts of the mountains. Individual and group trips are great fun especially when accompanied by professional instructor. Ski-touring or ski-alpinizm can be done from mid November till med May.

Skiers who stay in hotel Redyk Ski&Relax*** can use the ski room prepared specially for them, where boots can be dried and skis stored. Skiing is one of this plesures for which it’s neither too early nor too late.
