The beginning of the route is in the hotel Redyk, where you must go by car to the village Sromowce Niżne Katy or bus to Zakopane, from where buses leave to Sromowce Niżne (departures are always after meeting a set of individuals). Mini-bus stop is located opposite the bus station at the bar "Fis".

This canyon considered one of the most beautiful places not only in Poland; it is a natural monument of global importance. Dunajec flows in a deep, rocky ravine, the length of 9 km sevenfold abruptly turns, (three curves exceed 130 ° angle and the height of rugged, limestone walls dates back to 300 - 500 meters above the surface of water). Formation of the canyon is the subject of many researchers. The most popular are, however, regional legends. One legend proclaims that the estuary of Dunajec did King Boleslaw Chrobry with sword. Another legend says about Ferkowicz, chasing the king of snake who made a ravine with his body, making the way of the river.

Rafting starts at the harbor in Sromowce - Kąty, where there is parking, exhibition pavilion Pieniny National Park, tourist information point, with souvenir kiosks, restaurant and tickets.

There are two harbor targets:
Szczawnica - the duration is around 2 hours and 15 min.

Krościenko - the duration is around 2 hours and 45 min.
At the end of the rafting you can visit Szczawnica or Krościenko (depending on where you finish).

You should also stop in Dębno to visit the wooden church of St. Michael the Archangel, from the end of century XV, entered in the register of UNESCO monuments. Since the construction has kept on with his decorations and equipment in virtually unchanged state.
